Businesses Receive UAH 3.2 Billion in Preferential Loans Over One Week

During the week of February 16–22, Ukrainian businesses obtained 746 new preferential loans totaling UAH 3.2 billion, with a significant share directed toward supporting and developing the agricultural sector, ProAgro Group reports.

According to the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, since the beginning of 2026, businesses have attracted 3,700 loans worth UAH 16.7 billion in total. The largest volumes of financing were allocated to areas critical for agriculture and related industries:

  • lending in high military risk zones – UAH 6.3 billion;
  • development of the processing industry – UAH 5.4 billion;
  • investment projects – UAH 2.4 billion.

The fastest growth over the past week was recorded in lending to businesses operating in high military risk zones, where issued loans increased by UAH 1.3 billion. For farmers, this means additional financial resources for the sowing campaign, production recovery, storage and processing amid heightened risks.

Among the top ten regions by the number of loans were Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Kyiv and Kharkiv regions, all classified as high military risk areas.

Traditionally, the largest volumes of borrowed funds were attracted by agricultural enterprises, as well as companies engaged in wholesale and retail trade and the processing industry. This highlights the key role of agriculture in economic recovery and maintaining Ukraine’s export potential during wartime.

As reported earlier, over six years of the “Affordable Loans 5–7–9%” program, Ukrainian businesses have received 137,000 preferential loans totaling UAH 471.4 billion. During martial law alone, entrepreneurs attracted more than 102,000 loans worth UAH 381.8 billion (as of February 10, 2026).
