Live hog prices unchanged but retain upside potential

The analytical department of the Meat Industry Association of Ukraine has released its forecast for pork procurement prices for February 9–15, 2026, ProAgro Group reports.

According to the forecast, live hog prices in Ukraine are expected to remain at UAH 69–70 per kilogram next week. At the same time, prices for market hogs are generally expected to maintain an upward trend.

“Further upward movement will continue to be constrained by seasonal demand weakness, power supply disruptions, and the difficult epizootic situation related to African swine fever,” the association noted.

For comparison, the average price for live hogs on Poland’s CennikRolnicze exchange currently stands at PLN 4.31/kg (UAH 52.24/kg). The price range for live hogs in Poland is PLN 3.7–5/kg (UAH 44.84–60.6/kg).

Earlier, it was reported that pork prices in Ukraine increased by more than 30% over the course of 2025.
