The State Statistics Service reported a significant reduction in the volume of agricultural production in Ukraine in January–October 2025 — by 12.4% compared to the corresponding period last year. The agro-production index stood at 87.6% of the 2024 level. The largest drop was recorded in crop production — down to 85.7%, while livestock farming lost less and maintained the indicator at 96.5%.
Agricultural enterprises suffered more severely: their result decreased to 85.1% of the previous year’s level, specifically in crop production — down to 82.5%, while livestock farming almost maintained the level — 99%. In household plots, the situation looks more stable: the overall indicator was 93.6%, with close results for both crop production (93.9%) and livestock farming (92.5%).
The regional breakdown shows sharp unevenness. The largest drop was recorded in Donetsk Oblast, where production decreased by almost half — to 56.6% of the previous year’s level. Significant losses were also seen in Kherson (69%), Dnipropetrovsk (77.3%), and Khmelnytskyi (77%) oblasts. At the same time, Zakarpattia became the only region with positive dynamics: agro-production here increased by 3.5%, with crop production adding 1.7%, and livestock farming adding 7.2%.
