Ukraine’s Grain Exports Exceed 15 Million Tonnes in 2025/26 Marketing Year

As of January 2, Ukraine has exported 15.43 million tonnes of grains and pulses since the start of the 2025/26 marketing year (July–June), ProAgro Group reports.

According to the State Customs Service, total exports are 6.4 million tonnes, or 29.4%, lower than during the same period last year.

Wheat shipments currently amount to 7.91 million tonnes, down nearly 1.9 million tonnes (19.2%) year-on-year. Barley exports totaled 1.32 million tonnes, which is 33% less than last season. Corn exports also lag significantly behind last year’s pace, reaching 5.96 million tonnes compared with 9.8 million tonnes a year earlier, a decline of 39.1%. Rye exports remain minimal at 200 tonnes, versus 10.8 thousand tonnes shipped during the same period last season.

In addition, Ukraine has exported 34.3 thousand tonnes of flour, including 33.3 thousand tonnes of wheat flour, which is 3.4 thousand tonnes less than in the corresponding period of the 2024/25 marketing year.

Earlier reports noted that Ukraine retained its position as the world’s leading exporter of sunflower oil in 2024.
