Since the start of November, the railway transported over 2.4 million tons of grain – 22% more than in October

Over 25 days in November, 2,132 thousand tons of grain cargo were exported by rail.

This was discussed during an online meeting between representatives of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” and agricultural market participants, according to RAIL.insider.

This month, 2,299 thousand tons of grain were loaded onto the railway network, which is 25% more than in October. The average daily loading volume was 90.9 thousand tons, which is 17% more than last month.

The volume of grain transportation also shows growth. Over 25 days in November, it amounted to 2,425 thousand tons. This indicator exceeds the October volume by 22% and last year’s November volume by 0.8%.

In export traffic, 2,132 thousand tons of grain were transported by rail, which is 31% more than in October and 1.9% more than in November last year. The share of grain transport for export towards ports was 92%, while 8% was transported towards western border crossings.
