The NSDC decision on imposing sanctions against 56 sea vessels that illegally entered the ports of Ukraine temporarily occupied by Russia and exported Ukrainian food products in 2022–2025 has been implemented.
These include vessels onto which thousands of tons of stolen Ukrainian wheat, sunflower seeds, and other food products were loaded in the closed ports of Russian-temporarily occupied Sevastopol and Feodosia and exported abroad. Furthermore, a significant portion of these vessels is already under sanctions imposed by other countries, including the European Union, the USA, and Switzerland.
The vessels did not only use the flags of the Russian Federation: 17 of them sailed under the flags of other countries. Ukraine will work with the relevant states to stop the issuance of licenses.
Individuals who carried out these logistical operations prohibited by Ukraine received financial benefits and paid taxes to the state budget of Russia, which enabled the Russian Federation to finance its war machine.
