As of the end of last week, sugar factories in Poltava region processed 564 thousand tons of sugar beet and produced 88 thousand tons of sugar.
The Poltava Regional Military Administration (RMA) reported that three factories belonging to Tsukroagroprom LLC operate in the region:
- “Hlobynsky Sugar Factory” branch
- “Yareskivsky Sugar Factory” branch
- Production unit “Astarta Sugar Novoorzhytske”
Meanwhile, approximately 1 million tons of raw sugar materials arrived for processing in Vinnytsia region. The region’s factories have already processed 940 thousand tons of beets and produced 133 thousand tons of sugar — this is 50% more than in Poltava region.
According to the Vinnytsia RMA, beets have been harvested from 27 thousand hectares, which is 60% of the planned areas. The average yield is 433.7 centners per hectare (c/ha), which exceeds last year’s figures by 32 c/ha.
