Agrein Agricultural Group Sows Winter Crops on 42% of Its Acreage for Next Year’s Harvest

Enterprises of the Agrein agricultural group have sown winter crops on about 42% of their total acreage for the next year’s harvest, ProAgro Group reports.

According to the company, the main winter crops are wheat, barley, and rapeseed, while the remaining areas will be allocated to spring and niche crops.

“We started the sowing campaign earlier, guided by favorable weather conditions and optimal soil moisture,” said Taras Korniienko, Chief Agronomist of Agrein Group.

When sowing winter crops, the company used no-till soil cultivation and direct seeding technologies. These practices help preserve soil structure, retain moisture, and maintain biological activity, which directly contributes to higher future yields.

Earlier, TAS Agro reported the completion of its autumn sowing campaign. In total, the agricultural holding planted around 21,000 hectares of winter wheat and 15,000 hectares of rapeseed.
