Four agricultural enterprises in Ukraine have received UAH 116.3 million in partial state compensation for the construction and reconstruction of six livestock farms, according to ProAgro Group.
The decision was approved by a commission of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine responsible for state support of livestock development and agricultural processing.
The facilities are located in Volyn, Rivne, Cherkasy, and Khmelnytskyi regions. The new and modernized farms will be able to accommodate around 3,000 head of livestock.
Under the program, the state reimbursed up to 25% of the cost of farms, milking parlors, and processing facilities that have been put into operation.
“Supporting livestock farming is an investment in Ukraine’s food security. Enterprises that modernize production and build new facilities during wartime receive real financial assistance from the state,” said Taras Vysotskyi, noting that compensation covered up to 25% of eligible facilities commissioned since the start of the year.
Earlier, the government announced enhanced support for livestock producers in frontline regions, increasing the compensation rate for cattle farm construction from 25% to 50%.
