Astarta Completes Its 26th Sugar Processing Season

The agro-industrial holding Астарта has summed up the results of the 2025 sugar beet processing season, which became the company’s 26th consecutive campaign, ProAgro Group reports.

According to the company, during the season its five sugar plants produced 361,000 tonnes of sugar — a figure close to the 2024 result of 380,000 tonnes despite challenging external conditions. In total, the enterprises processed more than 2.3 million tonnes of sugar beets grown on Astarta’s own fields and in cooperation with partner farms.

“The season was marked by high product quality that meets the strictest market requirements. Our partners include leading global brands with elevated standards for raw materials,” the company noted.

The sugar yield reached 15.56%, exceeding last year’s level of 14.96% and surpassing the national average of 15.19%, according to data from Ukrtsukor as of January 1, 2026.

Astarta emphasized that despite difficult weather conditions, including prolonged rainfall, coordinated and professional teamwork ensured uninterrupted raw material supply and stable plant operations.

Earlier it was reported that as of January 1, 2026, sugar plants affiliated with Ukrtsukor had processed 10.43 million tonnes of sugar beets and produced 1.574 million tonnes of sugar, with six out of twenty plants already completing the season.
