Grant program for berry and vegetable producers launched in Ukraine’s State Agrarian Register

A new grant program for agricultural enterprises aimed at developing aggregation models in the berry and vegetable sectors has been launched in the State Agrarian Register (SAR), ProAgro Group reports.

Within the program, agricultural producers can receive up to $150,000 to develop infrastructure, post-harvest handling, product processing, and cooperation with small farmers.

The initiative is implemented by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine together with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) with financial support from the European Union.

Applications can be submitted by agricultural enterprises from the Volyn, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, and Chernivtsi regions. The application period runs from March 12 to April 17, 2026, through the State Agrarian Register.

“The development of aggregation models allows small producers to combine production volumes, improve product quality, and access markets more efficiently,” said Deputy Minister Denys Bashlyk.

One of the participation requirements is a co-financing contribution of 30–60% of the project value. In addition to financial support, participants will receive technical assistance and expert consultations from FAO on developing business models and integrating small producers into value chains.

Earlier it was reported that on February 2, the Ministry resumed accepting applications for state grants supporting horticulture, berry production, viticulture, and greenhouse farming.
