Ministry of Economy Resumes Grants for Orchards and Greenhouse Construction

Starting from February 2, the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine resumes accepting applications for state support in the form of grants aimed at developing horticulture, berry growing, viticulture, and greenhouse farming. Applications will be submitted through the Diia portal, ProAgro Group reports.

According to the ministry, orchard grants will be available for planting and developing areas ranging from 1 to 25 hectares. The maximum grant amount is up to UAH 10 million per beneficiary, but no more than UAH 400,000 per hectare.

Greenhouse grants are provided for the construction of modular greenhouses with an area from 0.4 to 2.4 hectares. The grant size depends on the project scale:

  • 0.4–0.6 ha – up to UAH 2 million;
  • 0.8–1.2 ha – up to UAH 3.5 million;
  • 1.6–2.4 ha – up to UAH 7 million.

For projects located in frontline or de-occupied territories, the state may cover up to 80% of the total project cost.

Applications may be submitted by business entities registered in the State Agrarian Register. Project implementation must take place on land with confirmed ownership or usage rights for at least seven years.

“We are resuming one of the key support programs for farmers – grants for orchards and greenhouses. This is not short-term aid but an investment in the development of the agricultural sector, job creation in communities, and strengthening production resilience. In 2026, USD 465 million is allocated for this program in the state budget. Our goal is to support producers, stimulate value-added production, and ensure sustainable rural development, especially during the war and post-war recovery,” said Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine Taras Vysotskyi.

In 2025, the program supported 69 projects totaling UAH 438.4 million, including UAH 268.1 million for orchard development and UAH 170.3 million for greenhouse construction. Since the program’s launch in 2022, the state has provided more than UAH 1.6 billion in grants for orchard and greenhouse development – UAH 1.1 billion for orchards and UAH 495 million for greenhouses.

As previously reported, this month the government is also launching grants for the construction of vegetable and fruit storage facilities, with compensation of up to 30% of construction costs, capped at UAH 20 million.
