370 Hectares of Agricultural Land Demined in October — Compensation Program Extended to Households

In October, within the framework of the state program for compensating the cost of demining agricultural lands, 370 hectares were cleared. According to the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture, anti-mine action operators executed 5 agreements totaling UAH 21.8 million, with the average cost of demining one hectare being UAH 58.8 thousand.

Last month, the Humanitarian Demining Center signed 14 new contracts, and since the program’s launch, it has signed 96, covering 16.49 thousand hectares of agricultural land. The total cost of the works exceeded UAH 963 million.

The government also updated Resolution No. 284, allowing individuals and self-employed farmers to submit applications for the demining of their own or leased plots. This can be done through the State Agrarian Register or by contacting local authorities — both online and in paper form.
