Agribusiness Continues to Access Affordable Financing

Over the past week, entrepreneurs secured 363 new loans under the 5-7-9% state program totaling UAH 1.8 billion, ProAgro Group reports.

According to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the largest increase in loan volumes last week was recorded in financing for businesses operating in high war-risk zones (+UAH 0.7 billion). This segment accounted for 40% of all new loans issued under the program during the week.

Since the program’s launch in February 2020, entrepreneurs have received 135.4 thousand loans totaling UAH 463.9 billion. Of these, during the period of martial law, 100.5 thousand loans worth UAH 374.3 billion were issued.

Among the top ten regions by the number of loans are four high war-risk regions: Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Kyiv, and Kharkiv regions.

The largest volumes of financing were attracted by enterprises in the agricultural sector, wholesale and retail trade, and manufacturing.

As previously reported, state-owned Oschadbank signed credit agreements with agribusiness holding Kernel totaling $77 million, marking the largest private credit transaction by a Ukrainian bank in 2025.
