The Agroutrade Group has started the autumn sowing campaign for winter wheat. Agricultural units in Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions were the first to start work — on the fields where soybeans and winter rapeseed were previously grown, according to “ProAgro Group”.
According to the company, modernized Horsch Focus seed drills, which previously worked on rapeseed, are being used for sowing. Thanks to the modular system, the equipment has been adapted for wheat, which allows for the effective use of resources and the optimization of production processes.
Sowing began within optimal agricultural technical timelines — the soil has sufficient moisture, and weather conditions favor crop development. The company notes that they are implementing proven technological solutions that previously ensured a record yield of winter wheat — from careful selection of varieties to precise adherence to agronomic standards.
This season, 11.7 thousand hectares have been allocated for winter wheat in Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, and Poltava regions. As of mid-September, 13% of the planned areas have already been sown.
