Astarta launched the sugar production season with records and technical upgrades

Agro-industrial holding “Astarta” has started the 26th sugar beet processing season, according to “ProAgro Group”.

According to the company’s announcement, yesterday, September 10, the first plants to start operation were those in Khmelnytskyi and Vinnytsia regions — Narkevychi, which marks its 72nd season, and Zhdanivskyi, which celebrates a record 173rd year of continuous processing. In the coming days, the Hlobynskyi plant in Poltava region will join them, opening its 114th season. All five sugar enterprises of the holding will be operational by early October.

Simultaneously, the holding is actively harvesting beets on an area of about 34 thousand hectares.

This year, the company significantly updated its technical fleet by purchasing modern Ropa Tiger beet harvesters. The new machines are already operating at six enterprises, ensuring fast and high-quality harvesting, optimizing logistics, and reducing the load on the soil.

Total investments in equipment renewal this year have already reached $22 million, of which almost $6 million is allocated for beet harvesters. This is part of Astarta’s comprehensive strategy for modernizing production capacities and increasing the efficiency of agricultural production.
