Astarta’s Sunflower Yield is 16% Lower Than Last Year’s – 21 c/ha

“Astarta” continues the harvesting campaign of late crops: sugar beet and soybean harvesting is in the final stage, and corn harvesting is more than 50% complete, according to the agricultural holding’s report for 9 months of 2025.

The report states that excessive precipitation over the past three months significantly complicated the execution of field work.

The company’s gross sunflower harvest  is 61 thousand tons (+32% y/y) with a total cultivated area of 29 thousand hectares (+ 57% y/y), and the average yield was 21 q/ha (-16% y/y).

The autumn sowing campaign of winter crops at Astarta’s enterprises is complete. Sowing areas under winter wheat are planned at 40 thousand hectares (-13% y/y), and under rapeseed — 15 thousand hectares (+30% y/y).

For nine months, the revenue of the crop segment amounted to 112 million euros (-23% y/y), due to lower sales volumes of key crops, mainly corn. Export accounted for nearly 90% of the revenue.
