As of November 21, Ukraine has already harvested 50,928.8 thousand tons of grain crops from an area of 10,228.7 thousand hectares. 88% of the areas sown with these crops have been threshed, according to the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture.
Specifically, the current harvest includes:
- wheat – 22,960.2 thousand tons from an area of 5,051.6 thousand hectares;
- barley – 5,419.1 thousand tons from an area of 1,360.9 thousand hectares;
- peas – 672.5 thousand tons from an area of 275.1 thousand hectares;
- corn (maize) – 20,836 thousand tons from an area of 3,118.4 thousand hectares, which constitutes 71% of the sown areas;
- other grain and leguminous crops – 896.5 thousand tons from an area of 327.6 thousand hectares.
Among the harvest leaders are Chernihiv (4,572.88 thousand tons from an area of 637.90 thousand hectares), Khmelnytskyi (4,889.1 thousand tons from an area of 574.7 thousand hectares), Vinnytsia region (4,260.6 thousand tons from an area of 679.3 thousand hectares), and Odesa region (4,061.3 thousand tons from an area of 1,201.2 thousand hectares) regions.
17,049.7 thousand tons of oilseed crops have been harvested as of November 21, including:
- sunflower – 9,010 thousand tons from an area of 4,794.9 thousand hectares.
- soybeans – 4,722.9 thousand tons from an area of 1,989.0 thousand hectares.
- rapeseed – 3,316.7 thousand tons from an area of 1,260.2 thousand hectares.
Overall, sunflower has been harvested from 92% of the sown areas, soybeans – 96%, and the rapeseed harvest is complete.
9,963.1 thousand tons of sugar beets have already been harvested from an area of 186.6 thousand hectares, which constitutes 94% of the sown areas.
