As of October 23, 37,559.5 thousand tons of grain crops have already been harvested in Ukraine from an area of 8,400.3 thousand hectares. 73% of the area sown with these crops has been threshed, according to «ProAgro Group».
According to the Ministry of Economy, the following has currently been harvested:
- wheat – 22,796 thousand tons from an area of 5,049.8 thousand hectares;
- barley – 5,366.6 thousand tons from an area of 1,350.5 thousand hectares;
- peas – 662.3 thousand tons from an area of 271.5 thousand hectares;
- corn – 7,713.1 thousand tons from an area of 1,314.9 thousand hectares, which constitutes 31% of the sown area;
- other grain and leguminous crops harvested 876.7 thousand tons from an area of 317.6 thousand hectares.
Odesa region is the leader in harvest volume – 3,798.8 thousand tons of grain were threshed here from an area of 1,144.1 thousand hectares. The top four also include Poltava region – 2,860.8 thousand tons from an area of 603.3 thousand hectares, Khmelnytskyi region – 2,546.1 thousand tons from an area of 365.2 thousand hectares, Chernihiv region – 2,519.6 thousand tons from an area of 407.7 thousand hectares.
11,156.7 million tons of oilseed crops have been harvested as of October 23. Specifically:
- sunflower – 7,837.9 thousand tons on an area of 4,235.7 thousand hectares.
- soybeans – 3,502.1 thousand tons on an area of 1,515.1 thousand hectares.
- rapeseed – 3,318.8 thousand tons on an area of 1,275.6 thousand hectares.
In total, sunflower has been harvested from 82% of the sown areas, soybeans – 70%, and the rapeseed harvest is complete.
5,642.7 thousand tons of sugar beets have already been dug up from an area of 108.1 thousand hectares, which makes up 55% of the sown areas.
