Farmers and processing — the main beneficiaries of the preferential lending program

Last week, Ukrainian entrepreneurs formalized 401 new loans under the ‘Affordable Loans 5-7-9%’ program totaling over UAH 1.7 billion. In total, since the beginning of 2025, nearly 25 thousand loans have already been attracted under the state program, amounting to a total of UAH 74.1 billion, the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture reported.

Most of the funding is directed toward supporting businesses in high military risk zones — UAH 20.7 billion, investment projects — UAH 19.5 billion, and the development of the processing industry — UAH 19.4 billion. Lending in frontline regions shows the most dynamic growth: the volume of such loans increased by 3.6% over the last week alone.

In total, since February 2020, entrepreneurs have received over 129.4 thousand  affordable loans amounting to UAH 440.1 billion under the program, of which 94.6 thousand loans totaling UAH 350.5 billion were granted during the period of martial law. The top ten leading regions by the number of loans formalized include four oblasts with high security risks: Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Kyiv, and Kharkiv.

The most active lending is observed in the agricultural sector, the processing industry, and trade.
