Farmers in Poltava region are completing the harvest of agricultural crops. According to ProAgro Group, 830,000 hectares of grain and legumes have already been threshed in the region, which is 93% of the planned area.
According to Vladimir Kogut, acting head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, thanks to their hard work in the fields, farmers have harvested over 4 million tons of grain. In particular, 2.4 million tons of grain corn have been threshed from almost 90% of the planned area.
In addition, the sugar beet harvest is almost complete. From 26.5 thousand hectares, we have 1.14 million tons of root crops. The pace of sugar production is not slowing down. Currently, enterprises in the region have produced 176 thousand tons of sugar.
“Poltava region once again confirms its status as one of the leading agricultural regions of the country. Thank you for your hard work,” Volodymyr Kogut emphasized.
Earlier it was reported that the harvest in Cherkasy region is entering the home stretch. The gross harvest of grain and leguminous crops in the region is over 3.6 million tons, with an average yield of about 62 centners per hectare.
