In Kyiv Oblast, the first high-tech greenhouse in Ukraine for growing vegetables and Japanese melon using the innovative Mebiol technology was opened.

As reported by the “Ukrsadprom” association, the construction took place thanks to the implementation of the UNIDO Green Industrial Recovery Program for Ukraine (2024–2028).

The greenhouse was built by the “UAKTS” project group (a member of “Ukrsadprom”) based at the Ukrainian Institute for Plant Variety Examination. The implementation involved the institute’s team, the Ukrainian construction company “TEPLYCHOK,” and the Japanese Mebiol Inc.

The association emphasizes that this is the first joint agricultural project within the framework of cooperation between Ukraine and Japan. An agreement has also been reached on signing a memorandum between “Ukrsadprom” and Mebiol Inc.
