Ministry of Economy approves first 2026 compensation payments for agricultural machinery

The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine has approved the first payment of 2026 under the program compensating 25% of the cost of domestically produced agricultural machinery and equipment, ProAgro Group reports.

A total of UAH 126.1 million in компенсації will be paid to 382 agricultural producers who submitted applications in December 2025, as well as January and February 2026.

The compensation was granted for products manufactured by 118 domestic machine-building enterprises included in the official list of the Ministry of Economy. These include both large plants and small and medium-sized manufacturers from across Ukraine.

The most active participants in the program were agricultural producers from:

  • Odesa region – UAH 25.8 million in compensation;
  • Ternopil region – UAH 13.8 million;
  • Chernihiv region – UAH 9.5 million;
  • Vinnytsia region – UAH 7.8 million;
  • Cherkasy region – UAH 7.6 million.

“When a farmer buys Ukrainian machinery and gets back a quarter of its cost, everyone benefits: the farmer saves money, and the manufacturer sees growing demand. More than UAH 126 million in the first payment of 2026 represents 864 units of new agricultural machinery already operating in fields and farms. At the same time, it means additional orders totaling UAH 604.7 million for more than 100 domestic machine builders,” said Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine Oleksii Sobolev.

It should be recalled that during 2024–2025, after the program was resumed, 8,600 enterprises purchased 13,700 units of machinery worth nearly UAH 9.9 billion. Over this period, the state reimbursed almost UAH 2.1 billion. In 2026, UAH 1.8 billion has been allocated to finance the program.
