In December 2025, within Ukraine’s state compensation program for demining agricultural land, mine action operators cleared 3,020 hectares of farmland. A total of UAH 171.4 million was paid as compensation for the completed works, ProAgro Group reports.
According to the Humanitarian Demining Center, 15 contracts for agricultural land clearance were fully completed during the month. The average cost of demining in December amounted to UAH 56,800 per hectare. At the same time, 28 new contracts were signed to clear nearly 10,000 hectares of farmland.
Overall, since the launch of the state compensation program, the Humanitarian Demining Center has signed 133 contracts covering 27,800 hectares of agricultural land. The total value of these works reaches UAH 1.78 billion.
Separately, in December the Center conducted tenders and signed 10 contracts for clearing agricultural land in the Kharkiv region, covering a total area of 7,955 hectares. The largest application was submitted by ADP-AGRO LLC, which already has successful experience participating in the state demining compensation program.
The government expects that further expansion of the program will accelerate the return of war-contaminated farmland into agricultural use and strengthen Ukraine’s food security.
As previously reported, in 2025 mine action operators returned more than 12,000 hectares of agricultural land to use under the state demining compensation program.
