The Sowing Campaign is Entering the Home Stretch

As of November 4, Ukrainian farmers have already sown 5.91 million hectares of winter crops, which is 90% of the planned area, according to the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture.

In particular, 4.3 million hectares of winter wheat, 478.7 thousand hectares of winter barley, and 65.9 thousand hectares of winter rye have been sown so far. Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions are the leaders in the pace of grain sowing.

Grain sowing has been fully completed in Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Rivne, and Chernihiv regions.

1.06 million hectares have been sown with winter rapeseed. The largest areas are in Vinnytsia, Odesa, and Khmelnytskyi regions.

In total, 14 regions have already completely finished the winter sowing campaign.
