TAS Agro has launched its 2026 sowing campaign. The season traditionally started with the Southern cluster, where farmers were the first to enter the fields, taking advantage of favorable weather conditions, according to ProAgro Group.

“In 2026, we plan to increase the area under sunflower to 24,000 hectares (+35%) and corn to 9,800 hectares (+20%). These crops currently demonstrate more stable production economics and allow us to better balance production costs. At the same time, we have reduced soybean acreage by 67% to 5,200 hectares. We are entering the new season with a clear understanding of our priorities: efficiency, quality, and stable results. Despite all challenges, the team is working cohesively and confidently to ensure a high yield,” said Vitalii Vanchuliak, Director of Production at TAS Agro.

Another notable step this season is that the company is testing a new crop for the first time—oil flax. For now, it is being grown on small areas but has future potential.

As reported, this year TAS Agro will expand the areas under sunflower and corn, which currently offer more stable production economics and allow for more efficient cost management. At the same time, soybean acreage will be reduced due to declining economic attractiveness and competition from more profitable crops.
