The queue of grain cars heading to the ports of Greater Odessa has shortened

More than 9,000 cars with grain cargoes are currently heading to the ports of Greater Odessa. This is almost 700 units less than at the end of November, according to ProAgro Group.

According to Valery Tkachov, deputy director of the transportation technology and commercial operations department at Ukrzaliznytsia, the queue of grain cars heading to the ports of Greater Odessa has decreased by 697 cars. Currently, the figure stands at 9,386 units.

The average daily grain unloading rate at the ports of Greater Odessa is 1,317 railcars. This is 21 units less than a week ago.

At the same time, the average daily grain loading volume on the network has increased by 40 railcars. The current figure is 1,402 units per day.

The number of railcars with grain heading to the Danube ports has also decreased to 118 units. The reduction is 32 railcars. The average daily grain unloading volume reaches 17 railcars. Over the week, the volume increased by six units.

As reported, in December 2025, Ukrzaliznytsia increased the cost of using grain cars by UAH 400 compared to the previous month, to UAH 1,250/day.
