In 2025, due to the ongoing martial law, the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine did not conduct any scheduled inspections of grain elevator enterprises. At the same time, two unscheduled control measures were carried out in the Vinnytsia region, ProAgro Group reports.
According to the State Environmental Inspectorate, the inspections concerned Food Company Zoria Podillia LLC and Food Company Podillia PJSC.
At both elevators, inspectors recorded violations of environmental legislation related to air protection. In particular, these included the absence of the required air emission permits and non-compliance with the operational requirements for gas-cleaning equipment.
At Zoria Podillia LLC, inspectors identified the operation of grain dryers and storage bins without valid emission permits, as well as violations of the technical rules for operating pollution control equipment.
At Podillia PJSC, inspectors found that business activities involving emissions were carried out prior to the registration of the relevant declaration, along with the absence of permits for emissions from stationary sources.
The State Environmental Inspectorate emphasized that no environmental damage assessments related to elevator operations were conducted in 2025. This was not due to the absence of violations, but rather to the limited number of control measures.
At the same time, inspections of 101 grain elevators are planned for 2026. The corresponding plan was approved by Order No. 180 of the State Environmental Inspectorate dated November 26, 2025.
Earlier, it was reported that queues formed at grain elevators in the Sumy region in November due to high moisture content in late-harvest crops.
