100 Million Tonnes of Grain Transported via Ukraine’s Maritime Corridor

Ukraine’s maritime corridor continues to operate steadily and ensure exports despite ongoing shelling. Since its launch in September 2023, a total of 168.9 million tonnes of cargo has been transported through the corridor, including 100 million tonnes of grain, ProAgro Group reports.

The Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine emphasized that russia has been systematically attacking Ukraine’s civilian and critical infrastructure – ports, logistics and energy facilities – for the fourth consecutive year in an attempt to disrupt exports and deliberately undermine global food security.

“Recently, russia has significantly intensified attacks on vessels and ports. Between December 2, 2025, and January 12, 2026 (40 days), as much as 10% of all infrastructure damage recorded since 2022 occurred,” the ministry said.

Despite constant attacks and security threats, Ukraine’s logistics system has not stopped. More than 40% of all cargo transported via the maritime corridor was handled in 2025 alone.

As reported earlier, Ukraine’s seaports handled 82.2 million tonnes of cargo in 2025. Agricultural products remained the backbone of port throughput, accounting for 44.2 million tonnes, or 53.7% of the total volume.
