TAS Agro plans to significantly revise its crop structure in 2026 by reducing soybean acreage and expanding sunflower and corn planting, ProAgro Group[a1] reports.
According to the company’s Chief Agronomy Technologist, Volodymyr Shylo, sunflower and corn currently offer more stable economics and allow for better cost management.
As a result, soybean acreage will be reduced by more than 65% due to declining profitability and increasing competition from higher-margin crops.
At the same time, TAS Agro will increase sunflower planting to 24,000 hectares and corn to 9,800 hectares.
The company has also expanded winter rapeseed area to 15,300 hectares and continues to test new crops. In the 2026 season, TAS Agro is focusing on a diversified crop structure and crops with more predictable returns.
Earlier, the company reported the completion of its autumn sowing campaign, with around 21,000 hectares of winter wheat and 15,000 hectares of rapeseed planted for the 2026 harvest.
