A modern livestock farm designed to house 650 head of young cattle has begun operations in the village of Pchany, Stryi district, Lviv region. The new facility was built on the basis of the Pchany-Denkovych farm, which has been consistently investing in the development of dairy production, advanced technologies, and the local community, ProAgro Group reports.
According to the state enterprise Agency for Animal Identification and Registration (AIRТ), total investment in the project amounted to around UAH 65 million. The launch of the farm has created new jobs and provided an additional boost to the local economy.
The farm has been operating since 2010 and currently cultivates more than 1,100 hectares of agricultural land. Its cattle herd exceeds 1,200 head, including nearly 400 dairy cows. Milk yields at the enterprise are significantly higher than the regional average, while extra-grade milk is supplied both to processing plants and to local retail outlets.
Pchany-Denkovych holds breeding status in two categories, actively upgrades herd genetics, and specializes in raising and selling breeding livestock. In 2025 alone, the farm purchased 68 high-productivity heifers.
In recent years, the enterprise has built a modern European-style cowshed, commissioned a grain cleaning and drying complex, constructed a new facility for young cattle, and purchased 18 units of modern agricultural machinery.
The farm currently employs 52 full-time workers with competitive wages. In 2024, revenue from product sales exceeded UAH 137 million, confirming the efficiency of investments and the stable development of the enterprise even amid wartime challenges.
Earlier reports noted that at the end of 2025, farmers in four regions of Ukraine received UAH 116 million in state compensation for the construction of livestock farms.
