“Agrain” harvested 42% of corn — yield exceeds expectations

As of November 5, the farms of the Agrain agro-group have harvested corn from approximately 42% of the sown areas. Preliminary results show that this year’s corn yield remains high. In particular, in the Chernihiv and Zhytomyr regions, the average figure is about 10.6 t/ha, which is higher not only than planned expectations but also than the average level across Ukraine.

Grain moisture content in the combine bunker is 19–22%. The need for further drying is moderate, and the technical capacities of the elevators are sufficient, so there is no critical slowdown in the harvest. A further reduction in moisture content to 17–18% is expected, which will allow the campaign to be intensified in the coming days.

In 2025, the company allocated over 13 thousand hectares for corn, which is approximately 8% less than last year. This correction is planned and related to compliance with crop rotation and optimization of the structure of sown areas.

For 2026, it is planned to maintain the acreage at a similar level, with a possible slight adjustment within 3–5%. The final decision will be made after summarizing the yields of the current season and updating market price forecasts.
