An agricultural enterprise in the Chernihiv region of Ukraine, engaged in corn production, cattle breeding, and dairy farming, plans to expand its grain storage capacity in order to manage inventories more flexibly, reports ProAgro Group.
According to KMZ Industries, the company will manufacture the following equipment for the project:
- three flat-bottom silos with a total capacity of 21,950 cubic meters;
- an operational truck-loading silo with a capacity of 90 cubic meters;
- conveying equipment, including bucket elevators and chain conveyors with capacities of 50 and 100 tons per hour, depending on the section of the line.
“To implement the project, the farm plans to use the state compensation program covering 25% of the cost of Ukrainian-made equipment, which is one of the effective tools for supporting the development of the agro-industrial sector. This project also illustrates a trend we observed last year: agricultural producers increasingly prefer investing in the expansion of existing elevator capacities, focusing on energy efficiency and equipment productivity,” said Vladyslav Perekhodko, Head of the Regional Office at KMZ Industries.
Earlier, it was reported that a farming enterprise in the Chernihiv region is also building a grain elevator with 10,000 tons of simultaneous storage capacity.
