Farm in Chernihiv Region Builds a 10,000-Tonne Grain Elevator

A new grain elevator construction project has been launched in Ukraine’s Chernihiv region for a local farming enterprise, partially covering the farm’s grain storage needs, ProAgro Group reports.

According to KMZ Industries, the project предусматриває the installation of a metal silo with a capacity of 10,000 tonnes, as well as grain handling equipment with a throughput of 100 tonnes per hour for loading, conveying, and shipping grain.

This will be the first modern elevator facility within the farm’s infrastructure. Previously, the agricultural producer relied on warehouse storage, outdated equipment, and third-party elevator services.

The decision to invest in in-house storage was driven by the need for more flexible inventory management, the ability to sell grain during more favorable market periods, and reduced dependence on external service providers.

“It is important that the customer started construction well in advance. This season clearly showed that postponing decisions until the last moment is risky. Professional installation teams are extremely scarce today, and during peak periods they are simply unavailable. Those who make decisions early gain control over timelines and quality of execution,” KMZ Industries noted.

As previously reported, by the end of 2025 Ukraine’s total grain elevator capacity increased to 52.67 million tonnes of simultaneous storage, up from 52.1 million tonnes in October 2024.
