Ukraine’s Grain Elevator Capacity Increased by Half a Million Tons in 2025

As of the end of 2025, Ukraine’s total grain elevator capacity increased to 52.67 million tons of simultaneous storage, up from 52.1 million tons recorded in October 2024, ProAgro Group reports.

Thus, over the year, elevator capacity expanded by approximately 0.5 million tons, despite infrastructure losses caused by hostilities and the challenging economic environment in the agricultural sector.

The growth was driven by the commissioning of new elevators, expansion of existing facilities, and implementation of investment projects, mainly concentrated in central and western regions of Ukraine.

Top 3 regions by grain elevator capacity:

  • Poltava region – 5.575 million tons;
  • Odesa region – 5.445 million tons;
  • Vinnytsia region – 4.447 million tons.

As previously reported, in 2025 the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine did not conduct scheduled inspections of elevator enterprises due to martial law. However, two unscheduled inspections were carried out in Vinnytsia region.
