In January 2026, agricultural production in Ukraine increased by 3.2% compared to the same period last year, according to the State Statistics Service, ProAgro Group reports.
According to the agency, the agricultural production index across all categories of farms in January reached 103.2% year-on-year, driven primarily by livestock production. In particular, agricultural enterprises recorded an 11.9% increase (111.9%), while production in household farms declined by 15% (85%).
Among the regions, the strongest growth was recorded in Vinnytsia (122.9%) and Lviv (122.7%) regions. Significant increases were also observed in Kirovohrad (107.6%), Khmelnytskyi (107.4%), and Kyiv (107.3%) regions.
At the same time, the weakest performance was reported in Donetsk (60.5%), Zakarpattia (68.3%), and Chernivtsi (82.9%) regions.
As reported earlier, according to the State Statistics Service, agricultural production in Ukraine decreased by 6.8% in 2025 compared to the previous year. The sharpest decline was recorded in crop production, where the index stood at just 92.5% of the 2024 level, while livestock production declined less significantly, with an index of 95.9%.
