EU Cuts Imports of Ukrainian Agricultural Products by 21%

Over the first ten months of 2025, the European Union increased its exports of agricultural products to Ukraine by 20%, reaching €3.54 billion, making Ukraine the fastest-growing destination by supply growth. At the same time, imports of Ukrainian agricultural products to the EU fell by 21%, although Ukraine retained its fourth place among the bloc’s key suppliers, according to ProAgro Group.

According to a report by the European Commission, cited by 24 Kanal, the EU exported €3.54 billion worth of agricultural goods to Ukraine between January and October 2025. This is €578 million, or 20%, more than during the same period in 2024.

Meanwhile, EU imports of Ukrainian agricultural products amounted to €8.65 billion, which is €2.8 billion, or 21%, less than in the first ten months of 2024. Despite this decline, Ukraine remains the fourth-largest supplier of agricultural products to the European Union.

Overall, EU countries exported €199.4 billion worth of agricultural products during January–October (+2%) and imported €157.39 billion (+11%).

As previously reported, due to changes in trade rules with the European Union, Ukraine was unable to export agricultural products worth €2 billion in 2025, 95% of which would have been destined for the EU market.
