As of December 17, Ukraine has exported 13.821 million tons of grain and leguminous crops since the start of the 2025/26 marketing year (July–June), ProAgro Group reports.
According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, total exports are more than 5.5 million tons, or 28.6%, lower than as of December 16 last year.
Wheat shipments currently amount to 7.61 million tons, which is almost 1.6 million tons, or 17.1%, less than in the same period of the previous season. Barley exports totaled 1.222 million tons, down 670 thousand tons, or 35.6%. Corn exports significantly lag last year’s pace, reaching 4.75 million tons compared with nearly 8 million tons a year earlier, a decline of 40.4%. Rye exports in the current season total only 200 tons, compared with 10.8 thousand tons at the same time last season.
In addition, 31.2 thousand tons of flour (including 30.2 thousand tons of wheat flour) were exported as of the reporting date, which is 3.5 thousand tons less than in the corresponding period of the 2024/25 marketing year.
Since the beginning of the current month, Ukraine has exported 1.389 million tons of grain, including 291 thousand tons of wheat, 49 thousand tons of barley, and 1.045 million tons of corn. Flour exports totaled 4.2 thousand tons.
As previously reported, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in its December report cut forecasts for Ukraine’s grain exports in the 2025/26 marketing year by more than 2.5 million tons, to 14.5 million tons of wheat, 23 million tons of corn, and 6.6 million tons of other grains.
