Kernel expects a record corn yield – 9.2 t/ha

Kernel has completed the harvesting campaign for all field crops except corn. This is reported in the company’s operating report for October.

Despite the challenging weather conditions that affected the yield of most crops, the company shows stable results and expects a record corn yield of 9.2 t/ha, which is 10% higher than in 2024. The area under corn in the crop rotation structure for the FY2026 season has almost doubled — up to 172 thousand hectares.

Wheat yield decreased by 3% year-over-year, reaching 5.9 t/ha, with stable acreage. Sunflower showed a 4% decrease in yield, reaching 2.7 t/ha, while the area under the crop decreased by 31%. The largest reduction was recorded for soybeans — yield decreased by 24%, to 2.2 t/ha, and acreage decreased by 67%. Rapeseed maintained last year’s level — 2.4 t/ha.

Overall, the company has adapted its crop rotation structure, focusing on corn as the main crop of the season. Despite the decrease in yields of other crops, Kernel expects that the final results of the campaign will be positive due to the expansion of acreage and the high efficiency of corn.
