russian drone destroys grain storage facility near the border in Chernihiv region

russia attacked the border areas of Chernihiv region overnight. As a result of a drone strike, a grain storage facility belonging to a local agricultural enterprise was destroyed, ProAgro Group reports.

According to Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of the Novhorod-Siverskyi District Military Administration, the incident occurred at around 1 a.m. in the village of Zhadove in the Semenivka community.

“Following what was preliminarily identified as a strike by a Geran-type attack drone on the territory of a local agricultural enterprise, a large fire broke out. The flames almost completely destroyed the grain storage facility with an area of about 1,000 square meters,” Seliverstov said.

In addition to the destroyed building, equipment and property of the farm were also damaged, including a ZIL-130 truck.

According to preliminary information, no casualties were reported, but the scale of material damage is still being clarified.

Earlier it was reported that on February 13 russia attacked one of the ports in Odesa region with drones, killing one person and injuring six others. The attack also damaged port infrastructure, fertilizer warehouses, and transport equipment, including freight railcars.
