russian Attack on Port and Railway Infrastructure Leaves One Dead, Several Injured

During the night, russian forces attacked one of the ports in Odesa region using drones, killing one person and injuring six others, three of whom are in serious condition. This was reported by Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, ProAgro Group reports.

Port infrastructure was damaged, including fertilizer warehouses and transport assets, in particular freight railcars. A fire broke out at the site, and emergency response teams are currently working to eliminate the consequences of the attack.

In addition, over the past 24 hours Russian forces also carried out drone strikes on railway infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk region. No casualties were reported, and the damage did not disrupt train traffic.

“The enemy is deliberately and systematically targeting Ukraine’s logistics infrastructure — the systems that connect the country, ensure exports, support business operations, supply regions and sustain frontline communities,” Kuleba said.

As previously reported, on January 7 russia attacked two ports in Odesa region using missiles and strike drones. That attack also resulted in one fatality and several injuries, while port facilities, administrative buildings and containers with vegetable oil were damaged.
