Signet Completes the 2025 Sugar Production Season

During the sugar production season, which started at Signet on September 30 and ended on December 18, the company produced 31.4 thousand tonnes of sugar, 98% of which was classified as Category I, ProAgro Group reports.

According to the company, the average daily processing capacity amounted to 2.8 tonnes of sugar beet per day. The sugar content of the processed raw materials reached 17.25%.

Overall, the 2025 season was marked by challenging weather conditions. Due to a rainy autumn, transporting sugar beets from fields proved difficult. Nevertheless, the sugar plant received and processed a total of 216.6 thousand tonnes of sugar beets, with the juice extraction campaign lasting 77 days.

“Although weather conditions forced us to reduce average daily processing by 10%, the overall results are good. Thanks to the professionalism and coordinated work of all departments, as well as high-quality maintenance and repair works, the 2025 production season was successful and demonstrated positive technical and economic indicators,” said Pavlo Perkhailo, Head of the Sugar Production Department at Signet.

As previously reported, at the beginning of the current week only two sugar plants were operating in Vinnytsia region due to a shortage of raw materials.
