In Vinnytsia region, the sugar industry remains in a difficult situation: due to a shortage of raw materials, only two sugar factories are currently operating, reports «ProAgro Group».

“The situation in the sugar industry remains difficult. At present, only two factories are in operation,” the RSA said.

The administration added that one factory has already completed the season, while the other two are accumulating raw materials for a subsequent restart.

Since the beginning of the season, enterprises have processed 1.92 million tons of sugar beet, producing 273,000 tons of sugar.

Earlier reports stated that farmers in Vinnytsia have completed the sugar beet harvest, gathering 2 million tons of roots.

As previously reported, six “Ukrtsukor” factories have completed the 2025/26 sugar production season.
