Six Ukrsugar factories completed the 2025/26 sugar production season

As of December 5, six factories belonging to the Ukrtsukor association completed the 2025/26 sugar production season.

This was reported by the head of the association, Yana Kavushevska, in a comment to Latifundist.com.

Despite the reduction in sugar beet acreage, this year’s yield, according to the association, exceeded last year’s figures and amounts to over 58 t/ha.

At the same time, the production season was accompanied by serious difficulties. Excessive rainfall in Vinnytsia and Khmelnytsky regions complicated the delivery of beets for processing. In some places, factories were forced to stop operations for several days due to the impossibility of delivering raw materials.

In mid-October in the Vinnytsia region, two out of five factories temporarily suspended production due to a shortage of beets: farmers could not harvest the crop due to waterlogging of the soil. Both the digging itself and the transportation of root crops from the fields remained problematic.

According to Ukrtsukor, as of December 1, 1.25 million tons of sugar have been produced. The forecast of 1.5–1.6 million tons is planned to be met. Currently, 20 factories are operating, and 6 others have already completed the season.
