As of March 2, Ukraine has exported 22.32 million tonnes of grains and pulses since the beginning of the 2025/26 marketing year (July–June), ProAgro Group reports.
According to the State Customs Service, this volume is almost 7.3 million tonnes, or 24.6%, lower than on March 5 last year.
Wheat exports currently stand at 9.124 million tonnes, nearly 3 million tonnes (24.7%) less than in the same period of the previous season. Barley shipments totaled 1.351 million tonnes, down 775 thousand tonnes or 36.5% year-on-year.
Corn exports also significantly lag last year’s pace. So far, 11.538 million tonnes have been shipped abroad compared to 14.9 million tonnes at the same time last year, representing a 22.7% decline. Rye exports amount to just 200 tonnes this season, compared to 10.8 thousand tonnes a year earlier.
Additionally, 43.1 thousand tonnes of flour (including 41.9 thousand tonnes of wheat flour) were exported as of the reporting date, which is 5.9 thousand tonnes less than during the same period of the 2024/25 marketing year.
As previously reported, in 2025 Ukraine retained its position among the world’s top five exporters of organic agricultural products.
