Ukraine harvested almost 48 million tons of grain — 84% of areas already threshed

As of November 14, 47.94 million tons of grain crops have already been harvested in Ukraine from an area of 9.83 million hectares, which constitutes 84% of the sown areas, according to the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture.

Key indicators for grain harvesting:

  • wheat — 22.9 million tons from 5.05 million hectares
  • barley — 5.42 million tons from 1.36 million hectares
  • peas — 671 thousand tons from 275 thousand hectares
  • corn — 17.91 million tons from 2.72 million hectares (62% of areas)
  • other grains and legumes — 886 thousand tons from 323 thousand hectares

Leading regions by harvest volume:

  • Chernihiv region — 4.12 million tons
  • Odesa — 3.83 million tons
  • Vinnytsia — 3.72 million tons
  • Poltava — 3.7 million tons

Oilseeds crops overall harvested 16.89 million tons:

  • sunflower — 8.92 million tons from 91% of areas
  • soybeans — 4.65 million tons from 95% of areas
  • rapeseed — 3.31 million tons (harvest completed)

Sugar beets 9.29 million tons harvested from an area of 174.7 thousand hectares (88% of areas).
