In 2025, Ukraine exported 111.2 thousand tonnes of bioethanol, which is 11.9% more year-on-year, ProAgro Group reports. The highest export volumes were recorded in February, March, and April, while the lowest shipments occurred in September, October, and November.
Export geography remained largely unchanged. About 96.2% of Ukrainian bioethanol was supplied to the European Union, with the remaining volumes shipped to Switzerland. Lithuania remained the key destination, accounting for 57.9% of total exports. During the reporting period, exports were carried out by nine companies.
The largest exporter was Persha Podilska Energetychna Kompaniia, which accounted for 32.7% of total exports. However, compared to 2024, the company reduced its shipments by 5.8%.
Among the top five exporters, the fastest growth was demonstrated by Vestnol (+682.2%) and VitAgro Bio Trade (+70.3%). It is worth noting that Vestnol began exporting only in November 2024, which partly explains the sharp increase. At the same time, the most significant decline in exports was recorded by ETNL, down 44.6% year-on-year.
As previously reported, within industrial parks Ukraine is also developing facilities to process about 1 million tonnes of corn into bioethanol. To fully utilize these capacities, around 3 million tonnes of feedstock will be required annually.
