In 2025, Ukraine significantly expanded the geography of its agricultural exports by opening 19 new markets for products of animal and plant origin, ProAgro Group reports.
According to the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, new markets were opened for animal feed and non-food animal products, eggs and egg products, milk and dairy products, poultry meat, fish and aquatic biological resources, processed food products, as well as crop production. In particular, Ukrainian products gained access to the markets of Canada, China, Malaysia, Kuwait, Oman, Georgia, Chile, Vietnam, and other countries.
The most active expansion occurred in the segments of eggs and egg products, animal feed, poultry products, and crop production. Notably, Ukraine obtained permission to export peas to China, apples to Canada, and poultry meat and poultry products to the Middle East.
The agency emphasized that opening new markets not only creates additional opportunities for Ukrainian producers but also confirms compliance of Ukrainian agricultural products with international requirements and Ukraine’s status as a reliable trading partner even amid wartime conditions.
As previously reported, Ukraine exported agricultural products worth $22.53 billion in 2025, which is 8.8% (or $2.15 billion) less than in the previous year.
