The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, together with the Veterinary Service of Algeria’s Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, has approved veterinary certificate forms that open three new export channels for Ukrainian live cattle to Algeria, ProAgro Group reports.
The approved documents include:
- a veterinary health certificate for the export of beef cattle;
- a sanitary and veterinary certificate for the export of breeding cattle;
- a veterinary health certificate for the export of cattle intended for fattening.
According to the Head of the State Service, Serhii Tkachuk, Ukraine has already opened five new markets for animal products since the beginning of the year, creating additional opportunities for domestic producers and strengthening the country’s position in international agricultural trade.
Earlier, Ukraine also opened the Côte d’Ivoire market for exports of beef, lamb, poultry meat and processed meat products.
