As of 23 January, Ukraine has exported 18.001 million tonnes of grains and pulses since the start of the 2025/26 marketing year (July–June), ProAgro Group reports.
According to the State Customs Service, this figure is nearly 7 million tonnes, or 27.6%, lower than the volume recorded as of 27 January last year.
Wheat exports currently amount to 8.372 million tonnes, which is 2.2 million tonnes (21.1%) less than in the same period of the previous season. Barley shipments total 1.322 million tonnes, down 720 thousand tonnes (35.1%) year-on-year. Corn exports are also significantly behind last season, standing at 8.009 million tonnes compared to 11.8 million tonnes a year earlier, a decline of 32.1%. Rye exports remain minimal at just 200 tonnes, versus 10.8 thousand tonnes at the same time last season.
In addition, Ukraine exported 37.2 thousand tonnes of flour, including 36.1 thousand tonnes of wheat flour, which is 5.3 thousand tonnes less than in the corresponding period of the 2024/25 MY.
From the beginning of the current month to the reporting date, 2.469 million tonnes of grain were shipped abroad, including 420 thousand tonnes of wheat, 2 thousand tonnes of barley, and 2.044 million tonnes of corn. Flour exports during this period amounted to 2.8 thousand tonnes.
As previously reported, Ukraine retained its position among the world’s top five exporters of organic agricultural products in 2025.
